Top 10 Benefits of Membership
The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce (GBACC) was originally established as the Business Men's Association in 1882. One-hundred and twenty-five years later, its premise remains – to play a pivotal role in enhancing member businesses' interests in the community.

1. Economic & Community Development
The Business Assistance Center (BAC) is home to small business-friendly organizations as well as the Advance Business Development Center (also known as the business incubator), which has "hatched" more than 130 businesses, created 1,000+ jobs and added tens of millions of dollars to the local tax base by assisting entrepreneurs through affordable lease space combined with shared services.

2. Business Counseling
Consultants from the BAC, University of Wisconsin Extension, Department of Commerce, Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension, Urban Hope and SCORE provide expert advice in sales, marketing and business startup at no cost to members and prospective members.

3. Cost-Saving Programs
GBACC members are eligible for a variety of exclusive discounts on products and services such as:
· Cellular service
· Local and long-distance service and High-speed Internet
· Office supplies
· Health insurance
· Industrial lighting
· Credit card processing

4. Legislative advocacy
The Public Policy Council advocates public policy in the best interest of our community, in proactive partnership with a wide spectrum of allies. The Good Government Council recruits and endorses capable elected leaders. Check out our current Legislative Agenda and the progress of issues we're monitoring.

5. Education
Partners in Education touches the lives of thousands of K-12 students in the ten area school districts each year. Established in 1992, Partners in Education has created programming to help develop our future workforce and citizens by bringing workplace knowledge to students and educators. By business and education pulling together, PIE provides leadership and resources in providing a system of programming — promotion of education, school-based learning, work-based learning, career exploration, youth development and community support, to meet the needs of our students, our education partners, our business partners, and our community. The "Golden Apple" awards notably recognize educators annually.

6. Recruitment
The GBACC realizes that small businesses face the same recruitment challenges their bigger peers do - but without the same resources. The Chamber is pleased to offer a value-added benefit for our smaller members - free use of the NationJob Network to small business members with 49 or fewer employees. These businesses can use NationJob's services to post their local area job openings and company profiles at no charge. In addition, NationJob's services are available to all-size Chamber members at reduced rates. These benefits are available courtesy of a partnership between the Green Bay Area Chamber, Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, Fond du Lac Chamber of Commerce and NationJob.

7. Leadership Green Bay
An initiative of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, LGB is a development program for area leaders. Participants learn about pertinent area issues, including the local marketplace, history and heritage, cultural awareness, human services, government, environment and education. Through these sessions, LGB participants learn what it takes to be a leader, in all forms of the word. One of the most valuable components of involvement is the networking participants do and the resources they learn about. A nine-month commitment, the program culminates with small group projects designed to enhance awareness of methods to effect change, improve team skills and benefit the community. The program expects that when individuals complete the program, they are excited about making a difference and will participate in boards or committees that help the community.

8. "Current" Young Professionals Network
Current is a young professionals network that recruits, develops and retains young talent to the Greater Green Bay area, and initiates their involvement in the local business community. The network does so through social networking and professional development activities that engage individuals age 21-40. Corporate and individual Current memberships are available for an additional fee.
