FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Green Bay, Wis. (July 14, 2008) – Youth leaders in the Brown County Teen Leadership program and Youth Leadership Council will sponsor Teen Tailgate ’08, a teen-focused tailgate party before the Green Bay Bullfrogs game on Thursday, July 24, at Joanne’s Park. The tailgate will be from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Teen Tailgate ’08 is a small group project idea of the Brown County Teen Leadership program. Students who are part of the project wanted to provide a safe and fun activity for area teens to attend during the summer months. Teen Tailgate ‘08 is open to all high school students, including in-coming freshmen and 2008 graduates. Tickets are required and include admission to the tailgate party, Bullfrogs game ticket, and a free hot dog and soda at the game. The tailgate will include a DJ, rock-climbing wall, games, raffle prizes and more.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $7 at the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce or during a brat fry sponsored by the Leadership groups on Tuesday, July 15, at Festival Foods East, 2534 Steffens Ct., Green Bay. Money raised at the brat fry will be used to off-set costs of the event. Any money raised beyond expenses for the event will be donated to the Good Samaritan Charities, a local charity that assists Unaccompanied Youth in Brown County. The teens will also be collecting non-perishable food items at the event in an effort to help restock local food pantries.
