Green Bay, Wis. (March 16, 2005) Partners in Education, a program of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, announces today recipients of the Golden Apple Awards. The Golden Apple Awards program is scheduled for April 20, 2005 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, 6:30 reception, 7:30 dinner, 8:30 raffle and partner awards, 9:00 program.
Nominated by students and peers, the following Golden Apple recipients were selected after submitting an application through an extensive selection process, including a personal interview with a panel of judges:
· Ashwaubenon School District, Parkview Middle School - David Lamers (Social Studies)
· Denmark School District, Nature Center Team for Denmark Elementary & Middle Schools
o Team members: Shelly Engel, Mary Bukoski, Mary Graham, Mary Kornely, Karen Schultz
· Unified School District of De Pere, Foxview Intermediate School - J. Glenn Lehnert (Science & Communications)
· Green Bay Area Public School District, Southwest High School - Michelle Volk (Marketing Education)
· School District of Howard-Suamico, Bay View Middle School - Kerstina Wirtz (Mathematics & Language Arts)
· School District of Howard-Suamico, Suamico Elementary - Sally Northrop (1st Grade)
· Pulaski Community Schools, Pulaski Community Middle School - Amy Uelmen (Library Media Specialist)
Tickets are on sale now for the Golden Apple Awards. Tickets cost $100/person or $700/corporate table. Corporate tables include Partners in Education membership with various benefits depending on level of support. Golden Apple Dinner Program is a fundraising event for Partners in Education.
