Partners in Education of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Start Smart of Brown County—The Early Childhood Council and the Green Bay Press-Gazette announce applications for the 8 annual Families in Good Company Awards are being accepted until Sept. 10.  
 
These prestigious awards honor Greater Green Bay Area employers who have made a commitment to family-friendly policies, an investment in our children, our future and the workforce of tomorrow.  These organizations sponsor this award because they know in business, being family friendly is not just a nice thing to do…it’s a smart thing to do.  Recipients of the Families in Good Company Awards will be recognized at the Oct. 20 Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting.

Nomination/application forms can be accessed online at www.titletown.org or at www.greenbaypartnersineducation.org to nominate your business or another area employer.  Please submit nomination/applications to the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce by Sept. 10, 2008.

The Education and Leadership department includes programs such as Partners in Education (PIE), Leadership Green Bay and Current Young Professionals. PIE’s most prominent programs include the Golden Apple Awards, Brown County Teen Leadership, Youth Apprenticeship, WisCareers, Career Expo and Educators in The Workplace--programs designed to strengthen the economic future of our community.
Established in 1882, the mission of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is to promote economic and community development.
