Program participants and graduates include:

· Youth Apprenticeship is a rigorous two-year elective program that combines academic (high school classes) and occupational classroom instruction (Northeast Wisconsin Technical College) with mentored on-the-job training (area businesses). Forty-one area high school seniors will be graduating with more than a high school diploma—they will be graduating with a state certificate of occupational competency in the industry area of their future career and more. Partners in Education offers training in fifteen industry areas (these areas are selected based on area employee needs and students’ interests).

· Teen Leadership is a unique experience for high school sophomores that develop key leadership skills in a hands-on learning environment. The class met for five full-day sessions since October, and each session focused on a different area of community knowledge and addressed specific leadership skills. Twenty-seven sophomores will be recognized for their involvement in the program.

· Youth Leadership Council is a newly program coordinated by Partners in Education along with county and city officials. Each high school was asked to select one junior and one senior to work on this council. Purpose of the Greater Green Bay Youth Leadership Council is to provide a venue for Brown County youth leaders to interact and discuss community ideas and concerns. Eighteen students will be recognized for their involvement.
