The Great Paper Airplane Toss to take off at Lambeau Field Jan. 31

Ready, set, fly! Lambeau Field is ready for take off with The Great Paper Airplane Toss scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p. m. Prizes are available for all grade groups in the competition categories: Preschool, K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12 and adult. For each student, the first throw is free, with 25 cents for each additional throw. A grand prize will also be handed out.

Paper will be supplied and the airplanes in the competition must be folded during the event. Pre-made airplanes can be brought and thrown but they will not be eligible for prizes.

A family vs. family team challenge will also take place at 2:30 p.m. Teams are required to register before the series starts.

In addition to throwing a paper airplane from the Lambeau Field Atrium balcony, participants can experience a flight simulator, fly an indoor radio-controlled blimp, tour the Atrium, and visit booths of members, D.A.R.E. officers and other agencies.

The Great Paper Airplane Toss is presented by the Partners in Education Drug Alliance. The Drug Alliance is a community coalition supported by healthcare, law enforcement, education, business and community groups.

The major sponsors for the event are Associated Wealth Management, Com-Video Productions, Schneider National Foundation and Partners in Education, a program of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Media sponsors are WOGB radio and WFRV TV.
