Green Bay, Wis.- (March 6, 2008) — This is your opportunity to honor local companies that "Carry the Torch of Success," the theme for the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2008 Business Recognition Awards.

As in past years, you can nominate a business (or self-nominate) for Cornerstone, Entrepreneurial Growth, Growth, Special Accomplishment and Business Person of the Year Awards. New this year is the Green Award, which will be presented to a locally owned company doing business for more than two years that has taken actions to become more environmentally friendly, or that has invested or distributed products to assist other companies in becoming more environmentally friendly.

Awards will be announced and distributed at the Business Recognition Luncheon and Showcase hosted on June 4, 2008, at the Regency Suites. Reservations are now being accepted for booths; please contact Marilyn Heim at (920) 593-3419 for details.
