Green Bay, Wis. (Oct. 29, 2008) – Fred Monique has been named the incoming vice president of economic development for the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.
Monique succeeds Barb Fleisner, who left her role to pursue an economic development role with the Central Wisconsin Alliance for Economic Development in August.
Monique is an existing Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce employee, having served in the capacity of program director for the International Business Development Consortium for the past eight years. In this role, he works with 12 companies and organizations in Northeastern Wisconsin to promote the development of international trade and investment throughout the region. His strong background includes 29 years of diversified executive level and managerial experience with AT&T/Lucent Technologies in international business development, sales, negotiation and customer service. In his new role as vice president of economic development, he will retain many of his international responsibilities.
“Fred’s extensive background in international business, his existing local network and his recent experience with the Chamber made him the logical choice to lead Advance,” said Paul Jadin, president of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.
Monique looks forward to continuing Advance’s overall portfolio of activities focused on influencing the growth and improvement of Brown County, as well as the economic well-being of the overall community.
