The World Trade Center Wisconsin will hold a Business Mission to India February 25 through March 8 in hopes to gain information on the foreign trade and business market in India.
Three cities around India will be explored: Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad with the possibility of Chennai. The mission will set out to explore what options for businesses may exist, while examining the current Indian business environments and introducing Wisconsin business to the Indian market.
Open to any business or company wishing to explore the Indian market, the trip includes several areas of focus while on the mission. It is intended for any business or company searching to determine if the market is appropriate for their business, to lower their company's costs and/or to attract new business.
Travelers will also have many opportunities to experience the markets first hand; as well as networking, building alliances and relationships within the country and discovering the vast array of distributors and joint venture partners.
Michelle Keshel, of Sales Automation Support, Inc. attended the mission in 2005 and had this to say about it: "The mission was non-stop business. During the course of our five days in country, I had more than 35 meetings with interested businesses, many of these leading to second and third meetings. As a result, we were able to close one deal within out first 36 hours of activity."
Mumbai is the third largest city in the world and the largest center for Indian trade, accounting for nearly half of all foreign operations. Leading the country in industrial, financial and trade growth, this city has the largest port and stock exchange in the county. Often called the "Silicon Valley of India," Bangalor has more than 700 information technology companies in its borders. Technologically speaking, it is the most rapidly growing technology market in the world. Hyderbad is India's leader in biotechnology sector of information technology and the fourth largest city in India.
The cost of the inclusive 12-day journey is roughly $6,500/ person, which includes domestic airfare, round trip international coach airfare and transportation within India. Also 9 nights single room accommodations at 4 and 5 star hotels, meals listed on itinerary, daily business matchmaking meetings, briefing and mission materials and reception and networking events.
