WHAT: Signing of the mediation agreement among The City of Green Bay, Green Bay Area Public School District, the Green Bay Branch of the NAACP and members of the Green Bay Community

DETAILS: Under the auspices and mediation services of The U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Service (http://www.usdoj.gov/crs), the City of Green Bay, the Green Bay Area Public School District and the Green Bay Branch of the NAACP, the African American Professional Network and representatives of the Black, Hispanic, Native American and Hmong communities, as well as established members of the Green Bay community including Chamber of Commerce members, met in a cooperative effort to improve relations and communication among the city government, law enforcement, the school district and various communities of color in the City of Green Bay.
Through these mediation sessions, representatives exchanged proposals, concerns and ideas directed at improving relations and interactions among the Green Bay Area Public School District, City of Green Bay and all people in the greater Green Bay area. The finalized agreement provides a framework that all participants believe will have, and has already had, a positive impact on the evolution, progress, and economic and social growth of the greater Green Bay area.
