Chamber ambassadors to honor Koeppen’s memory at ceremony

Green Bay, Wis.¬ (March 9, 2009) —  The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Club will honor a long-time member of their club, Gerald “Jerry” Koeppen, who passed away on Jan. 19, 2009.


Koeppen served in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of CW4 after 43 years in the military. Koeppen was very involved as a Chamber ambassador for more than 40 years.
Larry Schmidtke, a fellow Chamber ambassador, coordinated the Ambassador Club members’ purchase of a glass case with an engraved nameplate on it to house the flag Jerry’s family received at his funeral. The flag and case will be presented to Koeppen’s son, Greg, by Lt. Colonel Jim O’Neil of the Army Reserve, at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at Titletown Brewery during the Chamber ambassadors’ monthly meeting.
