MEDIA ALERT

Green Bay, Wis.¬ (March 9, 2009)— Paul Jadin, president of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce; Mayor Jim Schmitt; and Brown County Executive Tom Hinz will host a press conference at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, outside the Brown County Central Library.

They will unveil the area’s priority list of infrastructure projects for which a unified lobbying effort will be made to obtain a representative share of available stimulus funds. This list represents a narrowing of the original 139 projects valued at $420,678,999 that were under consideration.
The list represents a collaborative and concerted effort among the municipalities in Brown County. Jadin, Schmitt and Hinz will reference this priority list in the lobbying efforts they anticipate will be required with Gov. Jim Doyle and the Joint Finance Committee at the State level. Other appropriate governmental entities will also be contacted in order to assure an appropriate allocation of the stimulus monies.
