Contact:  Brian Johnson (920) 437-8704; bjohnson@titletown.org

Green Bay, Wis. (October 11, 2006) Brian Johnson, program manager of Current, Green Bay's young professionals network, attended a national Young Professional Organizations (YPO's) summit in Madison on September 29 & 30. 135 leaders of YPO's representing over 46,000 young professionals from across the country attended to learn about the impending leadership gap as Baby Boomers begin to retire and Generation X and Generation Y begins to assume leadership responsibilities in work, civic organizations and beyond.

YPO's are developing around the world and influencing the way traditional business organizations, education associations and governments conduct business. Attendees learned how to build strong YPO's, increase individual leadership effectiveness and how to be inspired to build better communities and places to live.
The summit was hosted by Magnet (Madison Area Growth Network) and Rebecca Ryan of Next Generation Consulting. Ryan is nationally recognized for her work with Generation X and has interviewed over 10,000 young people and worked with companies, governments and arts organizations to attract, engage and retain the next generation of talent.
