Green Bay, Wis. (July 6, 2007) – The Advance Business Development Center (ABDC), located at 2701 Larsen Rd. in Green Bay, is pleased to announce enhancements to its business incubation program.
Effective immediately, ABDC will entertain prospective tenant applications from non-profit entities interested in growing their organizations. The Center has also reinstated the Business Service Agreement, an arrangement, primarily with home-based businesses, for these businesses to use the center’s business address and shared services, such as conference room space, for a nominal monthly fee.
ABDC has also revamped its exit policy to be more sensitive to the needs of the individual businesses. Companies needing to remain in the program beyond the typical three-year mark will be granted extensions to meet their growth needs. In some instances, the center may consider offering a long-term anchor tenant status to business complementary to the incubation program.
"We recognize that non-profit organizations and home-based businesses are also in need of the many services our incubation program offers, and it's our job to fill that gap by modifying our program to meet their needs," states Barb Fleisner, vice president, economic development, Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. "Home-based companies can benefit from the high profile of our location when meeting with clients. And we know there are non-profit companies out there that are seeking affordable lease space and professional business services."
The Advance Business Development Center has operated a successful incubation program since 1987, serving more than 200 companies. The facility offers office and light manufacturing space with attractive lease terms and a multitude of shared services such as office equipment, conference room space, and free on-site business counseling, to growth-oriented entrepreneurs.
