FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Green Bay, Wis. (Sept. 12, 2007) -- Effective Sept. 1, the Highway 41 Corridor program evolved into the Northeast Wisconsin International Business Development Program. This name better represents the organizations involved in the program, including its latest addition in Manitowoc as of Sept. 1.

The new Northeast Wisconsin International Business Development program supports global business needs for the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, the Fond du Lac Association of Commerce and the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and their affiliated economic development organizations: Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County, Fond du lac County Economic Development Corporation, Fox Valley’s Economic Development Partnership and Advance. Collectively, they are now referred to as the Northeast Wisconsin International Business Development Program.

"I am looking forward to expanding our service offerings to a greater number of companies throughout Northeastern Wisconsin during a time of increasing global competitiveness," said Fred Monique, program manager, Northeast Wisconsin International Business Development Program.

The mission of the program remains unchanged: to promote development of international trade and investment throughout Northeastern Wisconsin by providing the business community a broad and comprehensive range of programs, services, and information to enable them to successfully enter, or to enhance an existing position in the global marketplace. Accordingly, one of the primary activities engaged in by the program is to provide counseling and assistance services, on a no fee basis, to those small-to-medium companies throughout the region who are interested in expanding their business to international markets. These services can initially be divided into three broad categories: International Market Research, Commercial Assistance Services, and Networking Opportunities.
