Contact: Paul Jadin (920) 593-3400

Green Bay, WI (June 11, 2008) - The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has announced  Barb Fleisner, current vice president of Advance, will accept the executive director role with Centergy, Inc., the Central Wisconsin Alliance for Economic Development, as of Aug. 1, 2008. Centergy is a multi county development group based out of Wausau. She will continue in her role with the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce through July 2008.

"Barb has been a very valuable contributor to our area's economic development, achieving much in her nearly two-year tenure with Advance," said Paul Jadin, president of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. "Most notably, she has taken steps to elevate the role and impact of the business incubator and was instrumental in the creation of the Brown County non-compete economic development agreement that was very recently signed."

"I am very excited to return to Central Wisconsin and to play a leadership role in the economic development of the region, " said Fleisner. "My professional contacts and responsibilities with the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and New North have been an extremely rewarding and positive experience and will play a prominent role in my life. There is a need for regional groups to work together, so I envision our paths will continue to frequently cross."

Jadin indicated that the replacement process has already begun and interested candidates may contact him at (920) 593-3400.
