Partners in Education Drug Alliance and partners hosting prescription drug abuse presentation

Green Bay, Wis. (April 7, 2009)— Prescription Drug Abuse: Are YOU A Supplier? is the upcoming presentation being hosted by the Green Bay Area School District and co-sponsored by the Partners in Education Drug Alliance, Streu’s Pharmacy/Bay Natural and Brown County on Thursday, April 23, beginning at 6 p.m. at Edison Middle School at 443 Alpine Rd., Green Bay.

Prescription drug abuse is a growing trend throughout the state and in our own community. This session will provide valuable information on how to safeguard your medications, properly dispose of old medications and tips on how to prevent prescription drug abuse. Featured speakers include Karen Falck, mother of Corey McNeill, a local high school student who died in 2006 of a prescription drug overdose; Matt, Corey’s medication supplier; and Jeff Kirchner, pharmacist and president of Streu’s Pharmacy.
The seminar is free to all parents, educators and community members.
