Green Bay, Wis.- (Oct. 3, 2007)-Travel back to the yesteryear of Green Bay with Current, the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s young professional network, this Oct. 23 at Heritage Hill State Park. The night will provide an opportunity for young professionals ages 21-40 to learn about the historical town through a guided tour featuring traditional garb. The stroll through Heritage Hill, a Northeast Wisconsin living museum, will educate young talent in the area about their community and create a great opportunity for networking.
"Heritage Hill State Park is a venue that really highlights the mission Current. It showcases a local piece of history to young professionals in the area while providing them an opportunity to connect the heritage of Green Bay to their professional careers," said Brian Johnson, Current program manager.
The historical state park was constructed in 1966 under the leadership of the Brown County Historical Society as a means to bring all historical buildings in Green Bay to one location. The living museum features consists of 54 acres of land and hosts everything from the oldest standing military hospital in the U.S., to the Tomb of an Unknown Soldier, whose bones were found on-site when excavating the park.
The event begins at 5 p.m. with tours starting at 6 p.m. and is expected to last until 8 p.m. Cost of admission is $10 for members of Current and $20 for nonmembers. Please dress for the weather.
