Green Bay, Wis. (March 5, 2009) – Applications are now being accepted for the 2009-2010 Brown County Teen Leadership program. Current high school freshmen from the 10 Partner in Education school districts are eligible to apply for participation in their sophomore year. Applications may be picked up at all area high schools and the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, or may be downloaded from the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Web site at www.titletown.org. Applications are due April 24, 2009.
Brown County Teen Leadership is modeled after the Leadership Green Bay program and is an experiential leadership training program designed to prepare area teens for community leadership roles. It includes leadership sessions on basic leadership principles, team building ROPES activity, government and youth advocacy, the economy and environment and diversity. The program meets five times during school days between October and April.
The Brown County Teen Leadership program is made possible through a Drug Free Communities Grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce.
