Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Unveils its BBJ magazine "25 People You Should Know"

Green Bay, Wis.- (Oct. 9, 2007)- The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce unveiled its BBJ magazine’s "25 People You Should Know" feature at a private reception at the Riverside Ballroom the evening of Oct. 8.

In the past two years, the magazine has celebrated "50 People You Should Know" with community members nominating others for consideration by an independent judging panel. The Chamber opted to honor 25 people this year, bringing the feature’s tally to 125 people in honor of the Chamber’s 125th anniversary as an organization in 2007. The feature is intended to recognize phenomenal people in the greater Green Bay community who are the "lifeblood of our community," possessing spirit, drive, presence and dedication to the community.

The 2007 "25 People You Should Know" include: Jeff Ottum, Healthy Lifestyles Cooperative; Andre’ Jacque, city of Green Bay; Terri Luebke, Inspired Training Institute; Greg Larsen, On Broadway board of directors; John Muraski, Praxilient; Jody Weyers, American Red Cross; Dr. Bill Laatsch, University of Wisconsin – Green Bay; Jodi Arndt of Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak and Jerry; Ganga Nair, University of Wisconsin – Green Bay; Mike McKenna, The Karma Group; Kelly Hafeman, Howard Immel Inc.; Wes and Kim Garner of Great Lakes Calcium Corporation and the Community Adoption Center, respectively; Darryl Buck, Green Bay School District; DonElla Payne, Integrated Community Services; Dan Roarty, Dimensions IV; Doug LaViolette, Brian LaViolette Scholarship Foundation; Christine Danielson, Volunteer Center of Brown County; Sean Ryan, Cellcom Green Bay Marathon; Dennis Langenberg, Schenck Business Solutions; Jon Syndergaard, Integrated Community Services; Deacon Nick Williams, St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center; Molly Vandervest, Downtown Green Bay Incorporated; Nick Arlt, Festival Foods; and Joe and Audrey Leisgang, retirees who volunteer numerous places including the American Red Cross.
